Failing in school will it affect me getting into middle school?

Ok so I got my interim report for the third quarter and I'm failing a cl.Its benn this way so for now lets say I been making all D's in my cles.These are high school courses in middle school so do they still count for when I get into college or can I improve now and get into a better college now?
